Viatel Technology Group is proud to announce a major milestone in our sustainability journey. As of May 1 2025, Viatel’s asset portfolio, including our datacentres, is powered exclusively by 100% renewable energy sources. As a core element of our connectivity network and data centre services, this transition guarantees that every unit of electricity we use is backed by certified ‘Guarantees of Origin’—verifying that our energy comes exclusively from clean, sustainable sources.

This achievement means that all of our contracted power usage is now green, reinforcing our commitment to environmental responsibility and a low-carbon future. This step aligns with our values and our vision for a more sustainable digital infrastructure. Viatel is committed to annual reductions in carbon footprint, targeting a 90% reduction by 2030 from a 2024 baseline of 2,415 tCO2, with an initial 50% in 2025.
