Leading Producer of Equestrian Goods Choose Viatel to provide WAN

Horseware Ireland is a leading producer of equestrian and pet products including rugs, therapeutics, and accessories, as well as a range of performance and casual clothing for men, women, and children. Founded in 1985 by Tom and Carol MacGuinness, Horseware Ireland has grown to employ over 700 people, with facilities in Ireland, North Carolina, Cambodia and China. Headquartered in Dundalk, the Irish operation has 172 people working across sales, R&D, manufacturing and marketing.

From an early indigenous handcrafted horse garment business, they have evolved to become one of the world leaders in the equestrian market, whose products can be seen on prized thoroughbreds in the parade rings at all the prestigious horse racing meetings around the globe.

Horseware Ireland first partnered with Viatel for all their connectivity and voice solutions over twelve years ago, and, since then, Viatel have developed into a trusted partner for Horseware Ireland’s roll out of state-of-the-art WAN and telecoms infrastructure.

Alan O’Neill, CTO of Horseware Ireland commented “Working with Viatel is a relationship based on trust. We trust them to provide best-in-class reliable, cost effective WAN services which grow in line with our business needs and they deliver every time. The WAN network is one less thing that I need to worry about, letting me get on with planning our technology strategy”.

Speaking on behalf of Viatel, Damien McCann “It has been wonderful to watch an indigenous company like Horseware Ireland expand into a global leader. We are proud to partner with them on this journey providing services to them over the past 12 years and we look forward to the next 12”.
