How long have you worked with us? n4.5 years

Tell us a little bit about your role please

I look after the solutions team. Primarily, we support the sales team in working with customers to understand their requirements and help position our products and services. It also involves responding to tenders, helping complete orders and general technical pre-sales queries. We work closely with the product department providing input to product roadmaps based on feedback and experiences from our customers. It’s an interesting role where we get to be the bridge between technology / solutions and our customers.

Give us the highlights tour of your career to date

After university I started off as a Deployment Engineer for a software company based in Belfast called Aepona which involved a lot of travelling around the world to various customers installing and integrating the product. It was a great experience and I got to visit some interesting places! In 2015, I joined Intel as a Solutions Architect working on some very exciting new IOT products. In September 2018, I joined Viatel as a Solutions Architect and in 2020 moved into the team lead role.

What do you love most about working with Viatel?

Working with such a diverse range of people, there is a strong culture of collaboration and a real can do attitude when it comes to dealing with challenges.
