Tell us a little bit about your role please

I work in the finance team, as Group Financial Controller with thirteen other super individuals. My role is varied every day which is great. Our team carry out all the financial reporting, treasury and credit control functions in the business. We liaise with many groups across the business and external stakeholders.

Give us the highlights tour of your career to date

I studied economics and finance in college – I had done a work placement in transition year in an accountants office and decided that accountancy was not for me!!!

nYet, I somehow ended up in KPMG after college and finished my accountancy exams. I stayed with KPMG for 12 years and worked on many different clients and different industries and really enjoyed my time there.

After having my first child in 2021 I decided it was time for a change, I interviewed for this role and I knew straight away it was going to be exciting and dynamic. I can’t believe how much I have learned in the 10 months I’ve been here!

What do you love most about working with Viatel?

I love how every day is different and I get to deal with people all across the business and understand their role. I really enjoy the team I work with and I love that I’m constantly learning!
