James Finglas
General Manager, Digital Services
Gina Laverty
Gina Laverty is the Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Viatel Technology Group, bringing over twenty years of experience in finance and corporate strategy to the role. Since joining the company in 2021, Gina has been instrumental in shaping Viatel’s direction, including the strategic onboarding of Macquarie Capital as a new shareholder.
Gina’s experience in hypergrowth environments and her sharp focus on value creation have helped Viatel strengthen its market position and expand its service portfolio. Gina has overseen carefully calculated M&A activity designed to reposition Viatel as the go-to provider for integrated technology solutions particularly in cybersecurity, secure networking and Microsoft capabilities. Gina leads a team of talented finance professionals managing all aspects of financial strategy, performance, accounting, reporting and investor relations for the group.
Viatel is the latest exciting chapter in an impressive international financial career spanning over twenty years. Most recently, Gina was part of the team that managed the sale of Realex to Global Payments, later joining the European Management Team at Global Payments and ultimately serving as Senior Vice President for International Finance. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Gina is a Chartered Accountant and a Tax Consultant.

Paul Rellis
With over twenty years’ experience in the global tech industry, Paul Rellis joined Viatel Technology Group as CEO in 2018. Paul has vast experience in leading large teams across many countries, particularly during his time as COO for Microsoft Western Europe and former CEO of Microsoft Ireland. He led at Microsoft during the company’s critical transition from a traditional software vendor into a cloud-based entity, overseeing the establishment of some of its major data centres in Dublin.
Paul’s vision and leadership have been instrumental in reimagining Viatel’s position as a digital services provider. His five years at the helm have been an unprecedented growth period for the company fuelled by diversified solutions, exceptional customer service and multiple acquisitions.
Paul is also a Senior Advisory Team Member at Chirisa Capital Management at Chirisa Investments, a technology investor and is a Non-Executive Director at Social Entrepreneurs Ireland.

Eilish O’Connor
Eilish joined Viatel as Cloud Solutions Director in 2018 and was promoted to Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in 2019. Her pivotal role in our acquisition strategy and devising a future-proof product roadmap has been central to Viatel’s ascent as a market leader.
Eilish’s mission has always been to bridge the gap between people and technology. She has a particular talent for translating technical capabilities into tangible business benefits. Eilish is a champion of flexible working practices, sustainability and DEI initiatives at Viatel; all which she considers central to creating an environment where talented people can do their best work.
A graduate in Applied Physics from the University of Limerick, Eilish has also worked as a software engineer and a technical trainer.

Damien McCann
As Chief Commercial Officer, Damien McCann leads the commercial team and strategy for the Viatel Technology Group. He is focused on successfully disrupting the Irish technology and telecoms market, with a key focus on cloud, connectivity and security. A Business and Marketing Graduate of Dundalk Institute of Technology, Damien began his career with Dell Technologies before joining Viatel in 2006. With over 17 years with the company, Damien has a wealth of knowledge on our longstanding customer partnerships and solution set.
Damien has built an outstanding technology sales and marketing team, cultivating a deep respect for customers, insight into their business challenges and the motivation to help them thrive. A passionate advocate of community involvement and sustainable job creation, Damien is the Chairman of the key business advocacy organisation, Guaranteed Irish.

Declan Campbell
Declan Campbell joined Viatel in 2003. Over the last 20 + years, he has proven his ability to think strategically and execute decisively. Declan leads the Group Operations Team at Viatel and is also responsible for development and leadership of Digiweb, the group’s residential broadband business. Declan has extensive experience in successfully growing a business from start-up to well-established brand. A linchpin of our operations, Declan oversees the logistics of keeping everything running smoothly so we can deliver the exceptional service our customers expect from Viatel.

Jeannette Naughton
Jeannette is a Business, Executive and Accountability Coach who formed her own business, Prospero, to help people and companies to reach their full potential, before heading up the People and Culture team at Viatel.
Jeannette is convinced that people and culture are at the heart of success. She keeps the interests of our team front and centre of every discussion. Attracting more great individuals to join our business, talent development and benefits all fall within Jeannette’s departmental remit.
Her passion project is embedding our refreshed organisational culture and she is determinedly bringing our vision, mission and values to life for every member of the team.

Sergiusz Paprzycki
Director of Critical Infrastructure
Sergiusz Paprycki started his career with Viatel Technology Group back in 2007 in our Network Operations Centre. He worked his way up the ladder to Network Engineer, then Senior Network Engineer before becoming Director of Critical Infrastructure. His first-hand knowledge of our network and love of all things IP related ensure that Sergiusz intuitively manages our infrastructure to support our customers and strategy.
Sergiusz is a member of the INEX community working to provide high-speed, reliable and resilient IP traffic exchange facilities for both Irish and international organisations, allowing them to route IP traffic efficiently thereby providing faster, more reliable and lower-latency internet access for their customers.
Conversation starter: Ask Sergiusz to compare and contrast sailing conditions in Ireland and the Balearics (Spoiler alert: Ireland does not fare well!).
The Big Day Out
