Viatel Technology Group’s annual Big Day Out made its return to the Galway Bay Hotel on 19 September. Our team of over 300 people came together from all over Ireland to reflect on a fantastic year, celebrate our SuperStars, and look ahead at how we can continue to deliver on our vision where our digital services have the greatest impact possible on people’s lives all over the world.

Keynote Speaker: Ray Goggins

We were delighted to welcome our Guest Speaker, Ray Goggins, a former Special Forces Operator and bestselling author. Ray enthralled the audience with his remarkable stories and insights on high performance, leadership, and resilience. His extensive experience as the Chief Instructor on RTE’s “Ultimate Hell Week” and his 30 years of military expertise in Hostage Rescue, Maritime Counter Terrorism, and Combat Diving provided invaluable lessons for all present.

Customer Spotlight: Keith O’Connor from Cpl

We were thrilled to welcome Keith O’Connor, IT Director at Cpl, who joined Viatel CCO Damien Mccann on stage to discuss his learnings throughout his career path, the journey that Cpl and Viatel have embarked on together and the importance of trusted partnerships to enable business growth. Keith’s narrative underscored the impactful relationship that Viatel forms with each one of our valued customers. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Keith for taking the time to join us and share with our team.

Team Building

The afternoon was dedicated to team-building activities that strengthened bonds among colleagues (aided by something healthy competition!).
