Tell us a little bit about your role please
I look after the southern half of the radio network with my team. We install mostly licensed radio links at customer premises, deal with outages when they happen and carry out maintenance and upgrades to make the network more reliable for our customers.
Give us the highlights tour of your career to date
I started as a subcontractor for Amocom, which later became Ripplecom, in 2008. Ripplecom hired me in 2012 as Field Engineer. Iprogressed to Technical Project Manager in 2014 and later became the Service Delivery Manager. As the Service Delivery Manager, all the customer orders plus all the field operations were my responsibility. After the acquisition by Viatel, my role moved more towards the operational side of the radio network. I’ve been very much involved with the integration of acquired companies: ITS, Ripplecom, Skytel and Nova, along with familiarising myself Viatel network which I’ve found to be challenging but very interesting.
