Viatel Group, a unique cloud + communications services provider, announced its fourth acquisition in twelve months further expanding its presence in Irish and international markets. The company announced the completion of a deal to acquire Skytel Networks, a Wexford based connectivity and voice service provider. Founded in 2006, Skytel Networks provides connectivity and communications services to both consumer and business customers across Ireland.
Following on from the recent acquisition of Ripplecom (October 2020), Irish Telecom (December 2020) and Nova Networks (July 2021), the latest deal will drive Viatel’s ambitious expansion plans and fuel the company’s impressive growth trajectory. The financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed. Venture Legal Services acted as legal counsel for Viatel in the acquisition and IBI acted for Skytel Networks.
