Guaranteed Irish represents 300+ homegrown and international businesses operating in Ireland, and has been promoting business in Ireland since 1974. Over four decades, the Guaranteed Irish symbol has become widely recognised by consumers and businesses as the national symbol of provenance and trust.
Viatel’s membership to Guaranteed Irish acknowledges Viatel’s Irish roots and our commitment to the Irish market, providing quality jobs and supporting local communities. Commenting on the agreement Paul Rellis, CEO of Viatel and Group CEO of Digiweb, said: “This partnership with the Guaranteed Irish community is very important to us. Our ambition is to develop a homegrown cloud technology and connectivity company that can compete with the best international companies. Guaranteed Irish is a good network to help us develop, as we create a sustainable business in Ireland, with quality products and people. The Guaranteed Irish brand marries very well with our existing Viatel and Digiweb brands and businesses”.
Speaking on the announcement of Viatel’s new membership, Guaranteed Irish CEO, Brid O’Connell, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Viatel to Guaranteed Irish. With over 20 years’ experience, Viatel is a leader in cost-effective, innovative and bespoke cloud and telecom solutions and services for SMEs, corporates, public sector and wholesale customers in Ireland. We look at three core criteria when assessing an applicant for membership – jobs, community and provenance – and Viatel ticks all of these boxes in abundance. The Guaranteed Irish symbol is recognized widely by businesses and consumers as a sign of Irish provenance and trust, and this will be a significant benefit to the Viatel brand in the future. We look forward to working with the team at Viatel and wish them continued success.”
