Lucy Woods- CEO, Viatel Group

Lucy was appointed CEO of Viatel Holding (Bermuda) Limited in May 2003. Under her leadership, Viatel developed two business models, the first a business focused on providing IP based services to SME customers in Switzerland and the UK, the second, offering high speed bandwidth services, dark fibre and collocation to customers with large capacity requirements across Europe. Viatel has continued to deliver significant revenue growth every year since 2003. The Group is financed principally by Morgan Stanley & Co. and Varde Partners.

 Prior to Viatel, Lucy was CEO for WorldCom (Europe, Middle East and Africa) where she was credited with creating the first cash flow-positive pan-European alternative carrier. Lucy also held numerous operational, service and marketing roles over an 18-year career with BT. She has worked for Sir Ian Vallance as executive support and, in her final role with the company, was CEO of BT Northern Ireland & Republic of Ireland.
 
Lucy holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Imperial College in London, and began her career as an engineer with British Aerospace. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Marketing and an Associate of the City & Guilds Institute. She was a member of the Patten Commission for Policing in Northern Ireland, and is currently the Chairperson for the Institute of Telecommunications Professionals.

Richard Paul- CFO, Viatel Group

Richard is CFO for the Viatel Group, responsible for overseeing the finance and accounting functions across Europe. Richard joined Viatel in April 2011, having previously been the Group CFO/VP Finance at Interoute for four years.

Richard is an experienced Finance Director/CFO who has worked across a range of sectors and business sizes.  Prior to joining Interoute, Richard undertook a number of management roles having previously held Finance Director positions with Parsons Group International and Hyder Consulting.

During his career he has successfully delivered a variety of IT system, financial control and reporting improvements. Richard holds a degree in Accounting and Computer Science and is an accredited member of the ICAEW which is a world leader in the accountancy and finance profession.

Dave Cribbs - SVP Marketing & Sales Operations, VTLWaveNet

As SVP Marketing & Sales Operations at VTLWaveNet, Dave is responsible for marketing, product management, pricing and commercial strategy.

Dave began work at Viatel as Commercial Director for the European Retail division in 2005. After more than five years in the Retail space, Dave was appointed as SVP Sales & Marketing at VTLWaveNet when the Retail was division was sold in October 2010.

Prior to joining Viatel Dave held various Sales & Finance positions within the IT and telecoms industries, working for Reuters, MFS Communications, MCI and Inclarity plc. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Kerstin Dinklage- SVP Sales & Business Development, VTLWaveNet

Kerstin is the Sales SVP for the Viatel Group and as part of the Executive team, is responsible for Sales and Business Development. She joined the company in January 1997 and has a broad national and international commercial experience in IT and telecommunications with a successful track record of 20 years selling to the SME, Corporate and wholesale market space, through both direct and indirect channels.

Her responsibilities include management of the European sales team, to develop an indirect sales channel and preferred network partnerships to grow profitable sales order value and revenue streams. She is also responsible for developing sales strategy and working with marketing to ensure the group offers the appropriate products and pricing.

Prior to joining Viatel Kerstin was self-employed, running her own sales consulting business. Kerstin also previously worked for the MCI Group (one of the largest global providers of voice, data and internet services) as Sales Director for 5 years, managing direct and indirect sales teams in Germany and Europe with responsibility for up to 160 sales staff.

Kerstin holds a Marketing degree, graduated from the chamber of industry and commerce and is a fine linguist, speaking German as her first language, English fluently (both oral and written) and basic French.

Tony Frewer- SVP Service, Operations & Engineering, VTLWaveNet

Tony is the SVP of Service, Operations & Engineering at VTLWaveNet where, as a member of the company's Executive Team, his responsibilities cover customer service, service delivery, change management, the Network Operations Centre (NOC), network engineering, pre-sales, project management, field engineering, facilities and infrastructure. He also has responsibility for the MIS/IT function.

Prior to joining Viatel he worked as Group Operations Director for Fibernet, a European Telecoms Operator, which was subsequently acquired by Global Crossing in October 2006.  Whilst at Fibernet/Global Crossing he was instrumental in helping the company develop from its roots as a traditional Local Area Network systems integrator to become a national and international Telecommunications Operator delivering bespoke network solutions across its network throughout the UK and Europe.

Before leaving to join Fibernet, Tony worked at Kleinwort Benson, a London-based Investment Bank.
