Digiweb Group are pleased to announce today that Viatel and VTLWaveNet have joined its group, creating a pan-European full-service telecommunications provider, with operations in United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy.

VTLWaveNet today announces that it has successfully brought AMS-IX connectivity to its 100th point of presence in Europe. By bringing up to 1.6TB of capacity into its latest site in Paris, VTLWaveNet helps parties to connect to the AMS-IX without needing a physical presence in Amsterdam. VTLWaveNet became an AMS-IX partner in 2011, enabling the company to help ISP's throughout Europe to connect to AMS-IX and boost their peering possibilities.

VTLWaveNet is pleased to announce that since July 2011 its international fibre route between Amsterdam and Geneva (CERN) has been successfully used by SURFnet to deploy a high speed, ultra long-haul 100Gb/s Wavelength. This is believed to be the longest 100Gb/s connection deployed as the route covers 1650 kilometres over 23 fibre spans.
 

VTLWaveNet today announced the launch of its Carrier Ethernet product.  The Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) service is available in London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Paris enabling customers to benefit from increased bandwidth granularity and a highly competitive cost using the familiar LAN standard linking the major Internet Exchanges in Europe.
 

VTLWaveNet has today announced the further expansion of its DWDM network in Europe. Following the roll-out of the DWDM network last month to Geneva and Marseille, VTLWaveNet has now extended its wavelength services to Bern thus completing the network between Geneva and Zurich.  Additionally the network has also been extended from Zurich down to Milan to provide connectivity into Italy.

Viatel Holding (Bermuda) Limited ("VHB") has today announced the expansion of its DWDM network in Europe.  Following the sale of its Retail division in 2010, Viatel has further invested in the VTLWaveNet network, extending its capabilities to provide wavelength services from Paris to Marseille via Lyon, and from Lyon to Geneva.

Viatel Holding (Bermuda) Limited ("VHB") today 4th October 2010 announced the sale of its UK Retail business VTL (UK) Ltd to MDNX Holding Ltd ("MDNX").
