Viatel’s director of sales and marketing was named as one of the 100 most influential Chief Marketing Officers in Ireland at The Marker Hotel last night for the launch of the CMO 100 edition of Business & Finance.

McCann joined the Viatel Group in 2006 and rapidly ascended through the ranks to head up the corporate and enterprise sales and marketing operations for Viatel in Ireland. Viatel is an Irish owned corporate telecoms company which specialises in data connectivity, voice, data centre and managed services solutions.

Prior to joining Viatel, McCann was a solutions expert with Dell Corporation where he got his first taste of the world of technology. These years very much developed his appetite for technology and honed his commercial acumen. He is a regular media contributor and commentator on all things ICT and is seen a one of the most innovative and cutting edge thought leaders in the telecoms sector in Ireland.
